Dear all,

This is Eva again from CIMBA, Asolo.

Today was one of those rare days when we, full-time MBA students, had some time on our own. For the whole weekend we were devoting our concentration to finance class, learning facts about hedging, stock and future cash flows. It was an interesting topic but still difficult comparing to what was happening outside of the classroom. Outside there was namely SPRING. Yes, I believe Sunday was the first day when you could really sense spring - the sun was shining, the birds were singing and children were playing in the neighbor's courtyard.

Only three months to go and we'll be finished with European part of the studies, leave one of the most beautiful borghi D¨Italia and go for one and ultimate month in the USA.

In line with that limited time and all the things we still have to do a time management coaching class we had today was very welcome. One of the class preparations was to jot down our daily activities for one week in order to have a better perspective of how we spend our time. Sleeping? Eating? Studying? Maybe socializing?

We divided our activities into four quadrants - urgent & important, not urgent & important, urgent & not important (which was hard for me to comprehend - how can something be urgent and not important at the same time??) and not important and not urgent.

Now, if you find your days filled with important and urgent stuff maybe it's time to ask yourself why do you let it happen. Why do you need all that adrenaline and stress? On the other hand if your schedule is filled with not important and not urgent subjects are you perhaps behaving irresponsibly? Are you depending on others? The most desired situation is to be in the second quadrant - those people have vision, balance, discipline, control, lots of energy and fewer crisis.

How about you, dear reader? How do you spend your days? And  - have they become a routine or do you let life take you off balance sometimes?

In any case I am wishing you a lot of success and happiness.

Till next time...
